Phil has been fighting a battle with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) since 2004.
On the 29th of January 2009 Phil got test results that showed that the cancer had spread to his lungs. He was well for most of the year until June.
He passed away on September 29th.
He's not in pain anymore.

We prayed together for all of you at small group last night after reading the 9pm post. May God be with you Guilfords and hold you up - I rejoice that Phil is out of pain and seeing Jesus face to face - but it's still so hard... don't know what to say except love you lots Kris and praying for you all, love Mon

i dreamt about phil last night in the 1 hour of sleep i actually got. i was restless the whole night!! he was happy and well and we hung just like old times. i love you phil!

ReplyDeleteVery sad to hear this news. I loved spending time with Phil in hospital and playing a variety of card games. Always smiling and up for a chat. Never complaining. A great kid who is part of a wonderful family.

He wrote this after he experienced the loss of pretty much his entire family. I hope it will uplift you.
